Missions

Jesus did not keep God's love to himself. He shared it with the whole world. And it is our job as a church to make sure the whole world hears His message. Click on the links to the left and see what role you might play in the mission field.

Our Mission Statement:
Motivated by love, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are called to make disciples for Jesus Christ through worship, witness, and service.

Our Purpose:
The PURPOSE of the church is to make disciples for Jesus Christ. The First United Methodist Church seeks to fulfill this purpose in all that we do to:

REACH persons with the Good News of God's love in Jesus Christ,
RELATE persons to God through faith in Jesus Christ;
EQUIP persons to be faithful and effective disciples of Jesus Christ, and
SEND persons into the world to love and serve God and their neighbors.
