Ghana

April of 2007, A medical mission team of ten people from our church traveled 7,000 miles to Ghana on the West Coast of Africa to hold a medical mission and several church planting crusades. Wade Hankins, Betsy Welch, Elizabeth Rickman, Betsy Buckhalter, Bailey Hopper, Edwin Alford, Ernie Walker, Jeff Tew, Jim & Anna Taylor. This group offered a medical clinic for three and a half days with dental care, optometry, and medical exams at a village about a days drive north of the coast into the interior of the country. And there was preaching at two crusade sites for four days. Also held a pastor's training event for local pastors and lay people from churches in the area. Supported the local churches by providing 3 pavilions to give them a place to meet out of the rain and sun. Funds raised also enabled us to give bicycles, medical supplies, school supplies to the local villages.
