Adults

We fellowship at the beginning of each class.  Then share a 15 minute devotion that fosters discussion and challenges each classmate to search inward, identifying how the lesson applies to our everyday lives.  We provide a mission/service opportunity each month during class time.  If you're looking for a confidential and non-judgemental family that promotes openness and trust, while challenging you to take your next spiritual step, come join us on Sundays.

Class Location: Room 301 (Family Life Center)
Class Make-up: Typically 35-55 years of age

We have 5 dedicated members who alternate teaching and do an outstanding job.  Our Class supports various missions and other projects within our Church.  Once a month we have a Social, either at the Church or at a local restaurant, where we enjoy good food and fellowship.  The JOY Class has a very loving and caring attitude and we think of each other as “family”.   If you have an interest in joining our Class we would welcome you.

Class Make-up: 70+ Years of Age

We have singles and married couples ranging in ages from 55 – 70 years young who share the word each week.  We also spend time catching up with one another and fellowship before our lesson.  Steve Lee leads our bunch and Cathy French keeps us all in line.  If looking for a laid back group to grow with spiritually, come join us.  We would love to have you.

Class Make-up: Singles & Married Couples, 55 - 70 Years of Age

We start with coffee, fellowship, and prayer. Four or five of us take turns teaching and when it’s your turn, you pick what to teach. We plan a class outing usually about once a quarter.

Class Make-up: 55-75 years of age

We start our class with “good old Christian fellowship, next move into announcements & prayer praises & requests.  Our teachers are the “Best” east of the MS River.  We study from David C. Cook Comprehensive Bible Study.  We are available live & /or on Zoom.  Come join us every Sunday morning.

Class Location: Room 202 (Education Building)
Class Make-up: Singles & Couples, typically 30 to 80 Years of Age

Our class with the focus of spiritual growth through study and fellowship for young adults. While learning and strengthening our personal relationships with God through study, Pathfinders is a relaxed environment for discussion and friendship among young adults experiencing similar joys and challenges of careers, families, and community.

Class Location: Room 408 (Main Building)
Class Make-up: Young Adults

We are the youngest adult class consisting of couples and singles.  We have strong class leaders who facilitate the weekly lesson in a discussion type setting.  We are committed to building trust among the classmates, along with the strongest of relationships.  We are a fun group, meeting in a comfortable setting, focused on learning the word of God and how we can grow in our faith walk.

Class Make-up: 20's. 

We learn from 4-5 teachers on a rotating basis, and love to “Fellowship”.  Our social chairman plans out of town trips to eat, shop, and visit.  Our members are found throughout the various groups of Brandon First Methodist as we are an active bunch.  We participate in every church event and support several mission opportunities.  While we are a larger class, we have plenty of room for more.  If you seek a class having a spirit for the Lord working with its members 24/7 365 days a year, we invite you to come study and worship the community we call the Fellowship Class.

The Breakfast Club Sunday School class was started in the 1980's by Dr. Mike and Mrs. Marty Vinson. We are located behind the sanctuary and up the stairs. Come and enjoy fellowship, breakfast, and coffee as we dive into various Christian-based books decided on as a whole from our members. Previously we have studied topics from relationships, Revelations, and counterculture in the world today. We are a mission-based and community outreach class.
